FAQ

What is RSS to Twitter?

RSS to Twitter posts RSS feeds to your Twitter account. It is simple, enter the URL of the feed, your Twitter details, and your away.

Who created RSS to Twitter?

RSS to Twitter is from CreateMy.com.au an Australian web design and development company.

How long does it take for RSStoTwitter to post?

RSS to Twitter takes up to an hour to start sending feeds.

How often does it update?

30 to 60 mintues.

If I set up a feed to my Twitter account using your service and later decide I want to stop, how do I stop or disconnect it?

Log into Manage Feeds and delete all the feeds. Once you have done that your RSS to Twitter account will no longer exist.

Why don’t you use OAuth or OpenID?

It adds a another form of complication to the process. How can you be simple by making it harder for your users? While I 100% support these services, RSS to Twitter is to be as simple as possible.

My RSS isn’t posting to twitter. :-( What gives?

Sometimes it takes a little longer for the servers to replicate.

What is RSS?

RSS (Really Simple Syndication) is a format for delivering regularly changing content from news, blogs and other online sites.

Doesn’t Feeding Twitter with a RSS feed take away from the point of Twitter?

No. It adds to Twitter. For instance your friends may want to know, via Twitter, when you blog is updated. Or you might want to know when CNET is updated.

How come you did not reply to the feedback?

When moving servers the email address to admin was the old server address.

Did you copy RSS 2 Twitter?

No. They copied us! We were around 6 months before them. I originally built Jobfeedr.com which took feeds from job sites and send them to Twitter. After a few friends wanted to do the same I made a public tool. Our method is 100% original. It wasn’t until RSS to Twitter became popular they created the site. Actually 6 months before their site came online I offered to buy the domain which had no content and they did not reply.

Only one of my RSS feeds is showing up on Twitter … I have two that I am trying to have fed into the twitter account. Is there something special that needs to be done for this?
